TL DR: I would really love a game with base/town building (like in Gnomoria, Stonehearth, Banished, etc.), and the complexity in interaction with other AIs (like in Civilization). Other kind of similar games I’ve played that comes to mind:Įvil Genius, Don't Starve, Civilization, Kenshi, Black and White, Settlers, SimCity, Cities Skyline, Mount & Blade: Warband, Crusader Kings, Forsaken Isle. When you finish the technology tree, which doesn’t take that long, and you’ve gotten the most of the maps resources, there’s not much else to do. You can’t build a huge cool town, only a little 2d castle or underground base. Maybe wars/conflicts?Ĭraft The World: Had a lot of fun with this game, but the 2D aspect kind of limits your imagination a bit. I can’t put my finger on it, but something was missing. Maybe it’s gotten better now, but I’m still going to wait.īanished: Played it some months ago. Some concepts still lack depth and at the time, the bugs made it almost unplayable. Stonehearth: Played it for some hours and really liked it. Moreover, I felt there was no purpose in expanding my town other than making it look nice. Gnomoria: It was fun for a while, but when I got a sustainable town with squads good enough to fight off armed goblins, I got really bored of just mining deeper and deeper looking for more metal. For example a town you could attack yourself. Not just send a guy out of the map to trade, etc. Preferably some place you could actually see. So there has to be some kind of enemy, or other form of town/village/city somewhere you can interact with. If this was it, you would eventually get bored. The game doesn’t have a story, you just play from scratch and continue to develop your base/town/village/city You gather resources so you can start building stuff and survive You start with nothing or close to nothing in an open field, preferably random generated world so that every game is different. I’m looking for the perfect game and it might be something like this: Previous sticky threads (Good resources for finding games to play): r/lowendgaming - Game suggestions for yesterday's hardware This includes key resellersįor more information about these rules click here This includes referral links.ĭon't enable, encourage, or link to piracy.
